Day 1 Highlights: 2019 Small Business Leadership Conference
ORLANDO, Fla. - Yesterday marked the beginning of the Jim Moran Institute’s 9th annual Small Business Leadership Conference. Attendees joined us to kick off three days of learning and networking at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, FL. You can view a small photo gallery of yesterday's events here.
Pamela Starr, Google supported trainer, presented our opening keynote session where she spoke to attendees about using data to drive business growth. The presentation focused on interpreting real-time information about how customers are interacting with businesses online in order to make smarter decisions on how to reach key audiences.
Participants of Jim Moran Institute programs including the Small Business Executive Program, Nonprofit Executive Program, Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV), Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans’ Families (EBV-F), Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans Accelerate (EBV-Accelerate), CEO Peer2Peer, and Seminole 100 honorees were treated to a private alumni reception. Staff members shared the latest news and updates about the Jim Moran Institute and recognized members of the first SBEP class in Tampa Bay. The evening concluded with a welcome reception for all conference attendees.
Day 2 will begin with a panel discussion regarding the state of small business in Florida. The day’s agenda also includes keynote sessions from Mona Amodeo, founder and president of idgroup, and Nat Jones, financial director and treasurer of Limbitless Solutions. Breakout workshops will be held throughout the day.
