Stephanie Royal is the Director of Northeast Florida for the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship, a program of Florida State University. She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office. She is working to advance the Jim Moran Institute's mission to cultivate, train, and inspire entrepreneurs in the Jacksonville MSA. In this role, she connects daily with small business owners and nonprofit leaders, offering support, education, and opportunities to connect with other individuals leading their own organizations. Stephanie has spent most of her career working with entrepreneurs, particularly through training, advocacy, and helping small business owners find the resources they need to succeed. Prior to her tenure at JMI, she worked at the Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida (UNF) for 11 years before coming to the Jim Moran Institute in 2017. She has an extensive background in marketing, communications, program design and evaluation, project management, and event planning. She is well-connected to the small business and nonprofit communities in the area.
Stephanie is a member of Women Business Owners of Northeast Florida, JaxSmallBizHelp, Jacksonville Women’s Network, Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, First Coast Manufacturers’ Association, and a Jax Chamber Trustee.
Stephanie is a Jacksonville native who graduated from Jacksonville University with a degree in communications with a minor in music and the University of North Florida with a master’s in public administration. She and her husband, Jeff (also a Jacksonville native!), have recently become empty nesters and love to travel.
