What is the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship? 

The Jim Moran Institute (JMI) is part of the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship at Florida State University. JMI provides executive education, applied learning programs, and peer networks to support small business owners, nonprofit executive leaders, and entrepreneurs across Florida—often at no or little cost.

JMI serves business owners, CEOs, presidents, entrepreneurs, and executive directors of established small businesses and nonprofit organizations who are seeking to grow their organizations, strengthen leadership skills, and build sustainable operations.

Small Business Executive Program (SBEP) 

What is the Small Business Executive Program (SBEP)? 

SBEP is an executive education program designed for leaders of established small businesses. The program focuses on leadership development, strategic thinking, and key business disciplines such as marketing, finance, human resources, and operations. 

Who should apply? 

SBEP is ideal for entrepreneurs, CEOs, presidents, and business owners of established companies that have been operating for multiple years and employ a team. 

Is there a cost to participate? 

SBEP is typically offered at no to little cost, thanks to the support of funders and partners.

Nonprofit Executive Program (NPEP) 

What is the Nonprofit Executive Program (NPEP)? 

NPEP is designed to help nonprofit executive leaders strengthen the business side of their organizations through training in strategy, leadership, operations, and financial sustainability. 

Who should participate? 

Executive directors, CEOs, and presidents of established nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply.

Peer2Peer Groups 

What are Peer2Peer Groups? 

Peer2Peer Groups provide a confidential, facilitated environment where CEOs and nonprofit leaders meet regularly with non-competing peers to share challenges, gain insights, and support one another. 

Who is eligible to join? 

Participants are typically graduates of JMI executive programs or experienced leaders who meet program criteria.
