Each year the Jim Moran Institute hosts a conference for small business owners with opportunities for entrepreneurs to learn, share and network. Speakers are selected whose topics are broad enough to be helpful for every business owner, and breakout workshop sessions are held during which attendees can join smaller, more focused groups to discuss topics that interest them most.

2020 Conference Canceled
Due to the widespread impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship and the Florida SBDC Network have canceled the 2020 Small Business Leadership Conference, which was scheduled to take place June 15-17, at the JW Marriot Orlando, Grande Lakes.
This unanimous decision was made by the conference committee out of concern for the health and safety of attendees, vendors, and staff members.
The Jim Moran Institute and the Florida SBDC Network will continue to do everything possible to help their communities stay safe, informed and connected. Throughout the next few weeks, speakers who were scheduled to present at the conference will share best practice tips and advice on how to adapt to the current economic challenges businesses are facing during the COVID-19 crisis. The content will be available on sblconference.com and through Small Business Leadership Conference social media networks.
The conference committee will continue to closely monitor the current outbreak of COVID-19. Details for the 2021 conference will be available later this year.

“The Small Business Leadership Conference was one of the best conferences I have attended all year! Not only was this an opportunity to increase my business knowledge and learn new strategies, but I made new friends and new business contacts. Definitely worth my time and effort!”
