EBV Accelerate Launches at Florida State University

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship kicked off the inaugural Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans Accelerate program yesterday evening during a reception at the Jim Moran Building in downtown Tallahassee.

Fifteen Veteran small business owners were joined by staff and faculty from the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship and the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University. The participants were officially welcomed to Tallahassee by Randy Blass, executive director of the Jim Moran Institute, and Melissa Roberts, managing director of operations for the Jim Moran Institute, before being treated to a catered dinner from local hospitality company, Social Catering.

All participants were given their program materials and gift bags during a brief orientation at the DoubleTree hotel in downtown Tallahassee earlier yesterday afternoon.

The program will last until Friday, October 26 and Veteran small business owners will spend the week learning how to move from leading start-ups to handling the challenges of a growing company. Topics will include acquiring growth funding, rebranding for expansion, determining a sustainable growth  rate, establishing partnerships, managing cash flow and action planning.
